I have been working as a designer per more than 20 years. For me, helping others to transform the house into a space where they feel themselves is crucial. It is not enough to make a beautiful space if I don't understand what is important to them. My job has not been done well if I couldn't be able to connect the person to the space they are going to spend every day.
Suddenly I discovered that the commitment I had to the customer was not the same for me when i was designing and choosing pieces for my own home. I was having hard time to be able to transform my home into my true sanctuary, Incoherent? Yes and no. I had so much contact with beautiful pieces, and as I was always attentive to the trends, every time I had a different favorite color or a new piece on my wish list. It took me a while to realize that a beautiful furniture by itself didn't make me feel home. As much as I liked what was in my house, there was always something missing. And do you know what it was?

I have been spending so much time trying to understand the other, or paying attention to the launches that I forgot the most important thing. Stop, look inside and understand what makes me happy. This is why, one of the goals I have here on the blog is to demonstrate that within the same space, with the same furniture it is possible to have completely different styles and vibes.
The first space I choose is the entryway of the house. This space is responsible for making the first impression of our home. So it must represent the personality of the owners and also brings an indication of what is to come inside the house.

I chose the same centerpiece for the 3 styles. This console is definitely one of my favorites. Versatile, solid wood hand made and exclusive design from Nativa Interiors has a deferential in the twisted legs. Elegant and sophisticated is a wild card that we can use for different styles.
Style 1 - Neutral colors
I know a lot of people who thinks that the neutral colors in the decoration leave the environment without personality. This is a current mistaken. They bring lightness and sophistication.

The neutral color palette covers black, brown, white, gray and cream tones. Although it seems to have few options, the varied tones of each color can be explored and allow numerous combinations. One of the biggest benefits of using neutral colors in the decoration is the fact that you can easily focal point what you want. Because they do not pull the highlight to you and in this way, the details and other colors used in the decoration stand out. With this, the plants also form a great combination with the neutral colors, as this combination provides a more pleasant and natural climate.
Style 2 - Vibrant colors
I did not change the color of the walls, but you already can feel how the lamps and the pop up colors make this space very different than the first style, right?
The ability of colors, is very well known to completely transform a space, but often, the boldness of incorporating a pulsating colors in the decoration can scare even those in love with colorful rooms.

The yellow, bold orange and red nuances were the colors chosen to give a boost to the decoration of this style. The colors play an important role in the way we perceive the world and can help to rescue memories and feelings. Red is the color of strength, value, attraction, warmth, energy and passion and associated to the yellow and gold brings optimism.
Style 3 -Coastal style
Here in California, the coastal decor is one of the most popular styles that leaves the environments very characteristic and helps to escape and forget all the day by day stress, ensuring good days of enjoyment. Natural tones with blue elements is a good option for those who like the relaxation that beach houses usually carry. The color, brightness or texture of the materials convey a feeling of peace, balance and well-being.

Now that you’ve seen the 3 options which style matches your personality?
